A blow to Apple's production chain: According to Bloomberg, a number of prominent analysts have lowered the outlook for iPhone X sales in the first quarter of 2018, causing the erosion of shares of Chinese component makers who are building the device.

The latest forecasts refer to the sale of 35 million units, about 10 million less than the previous forecast. An analyst at Sinolink Securities explained that now the demand for the expensive device could drop drastically: "The first wave of sales has ended and now the market is concerned that the high price of the device will reduce interest among potential customers."
